Fieldhouse Rental Rules

ALL PARK DISTRICT BUILDINGS CLOSE AT 10 P.M.

  1. All tables and chairs must be returned to the position or location in which they were found. Bag and tie all garbage and place in the kitchen area.

  2. All activities are to be conducted in an orderly manner.

  3. No alcoholic beverages, BBQ grills, open flames, gambling or fund raisers allowed on park property.

  4. Children and guests must be supervised at all times during rental hours.

  5. Any damages caused by groups renting a facility will be charged to the renter. Security deposit will be forfeited and any additional expenses will be paid by the renter.

  6. Renter must be present at all times during the rental. Park Police will patrol all rentals for security and make unannounced stops. If the renter is not present, the renter will forfeit the security deposit.

  7. The Park District is not liable for stolen property or personal injuries sustained during rental hours.

  8. Sound amplification of any kind will not be allowed to be audible beyond the immediate vicinity (15 feet or less) of the fieldhouse. No live bands or DJ's allowed at rental.

  9. Hours on the contract must be adhered to (EXAMPLE: 9am - 4pm means that you cannot enter before 9am and must vacate the premises by 4pm). Failure to do so will forfeit your entire security deposit.

  10. You may cancel your reservation up to 7 days before your rental with a full refund.

  11. The capacity of the fieldhouse houses are as follows:
    National - 100 people
    Mansfield, Austin and Oketo - 50 people
    If you exceed capacity, your entire security deposit will be forfeited.

NOTE: Please read over the contract carefully. Your signature on the rental contract obligates you to adhere to these rules. Any violation of the stated rules may result in forfeiture of your security deposit.

The Morton Grove Park District thanks you for your cooperation. Remember, we all must share our facilities, so please leave them presentable for the next person!

Rules for Prairie View Community Center Room Rentals

  6. The Park District is not liable for stolen property or personal injuries sustained during rental hours.

Q – Can I rent a facility on a holiday or that same weekend?
A – The Morton Grove Park District does not rent facilities on holiday weekends due to maintenance workers being on vacation.

Q – When can I pick up the key for a Rental?
A – The key can be picked up the Thursday or Friday prior to the Fieldhouse Rental between 9:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. at the Prairie View Community Center 6834 Dempster.

Q – Can someone pick up the key for me?
A - The only person who can pick up a key is the Lessee who signed the contract.

Q – How many tables and chairs do the Fieldhouses offer?
A – Mansfield, Austin, and Oketo Fieldhouses have 8 tables and 50 chairs. National Fieldhouse has 15 tables and 100 chairs.

Q – How many tables and chairs does the Community Room offer?
A - The Community Room offers a maximum of 15 tables and 120 chairs.

Q – How many electrical outlets do the Fieldhouses offer?
A – Each Fieldhouse has eight electrical outlets.

Q – Are tables, chairs, or other structures allowed in the park while I am renting the Fieldhouse?
A – No, the party is to be contained in the Fieldhouse.

Q – Can I rent a facility consecutive weeks for a certain period of time?
A – No, renters are only allowed two rentals of any Morton Grove Park District Facilities per year.

Q – Can I arrive early in order to set up for the rental?
A – No, you have to arrange enough time for set up and take down with in the time that you designated for the rental. If additional time is needed, you can pay for additional time.

Q – Does anyone check to see when I arrive or leave the facility?
A – Park Police will check each Fieldhouse before, during, and after a rental. All other facilities will have Morton Grove Park District employees present during rental times.

Q – Are the Fieldhouses air-conditioned or heated?
A – The Fieldhouses are heated, but not air-conditioned. Each fieldhouse does have ceiling fans in them and the windows do open.

Q – Am I allowed to cook in the facility?
A – You are not allowed to cook or have any form of open flame at any Morton Grove Park District facility except the Community Room. Fieldhouses do have refrigerators for the renter's use. The Community Room is the only facility that allows cooking, which can be done in the Park District’s fully equipped kitchen.

Q – Is alcohol or smoking allowed?
A – Alcohol and smoking is prohibited at any Morton Grove Park District facility.

Q – At the rental can I have a D.J. or live band?
A – Both are prohibited.
