3. SENIOR PROGRAMS
The majority of Senior Adult programs in Morton Grove are offered
through the Village of Morton Grove at the American Legion Senior
Center. Information about is included in every brochure. To contact

4. RESIDENT VS. NON-RESIDENT
Anyone living in the geographic boundaries of the Morton Grove
Park District is considered a resident. Students Kindergarten-8th
Grade attending Morton Grove Schools (Edison, Golf, Hynes, Jerusalem
Lutheran, Julia Malloy, Melzer, Muslim Community Center, Nelson
and Park View) is considered residents for RECREATION PROGRAMS ONLY.
Families with students at above schools pay the non-resident fees
for use of facilities such as swimming pools and open gym if they
do not have a Morton Grove address. Proof of residency is required
to receive resident rate.
5. BROCHURE
The Morton Grove Park District prints four seasonal brochures
(Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter). The brochure is mailed to households
in Morton Grove by the Post Office. The brochures are scheduled
to be mailed on the 1st Monday of each of following months (barring
no complications with the printing company): March – spring,
May – summer, August – fall and December – winter.

6. HOTLINE
The Morton Grove Park District has a hotline 847-965-7558 which
is used to notify participants of program cancellations such as
classes and games due to inclement weather. The Softball line is
updated at 4:00pm on days when inclement weather is a concern. Decisions
about fields and game status are made by 4:00pm. – please

7. TEENS IN CHARGE
The Morton Grove Park District offers activities to students in
6th-8th grade through the Teens in Charge program. view

8. HOURS
Club Fitness and the Prairie View Community Center is open Monday-Thursday
5:30am-10:00pm; Friday 5:30am-9:00pm and Weekends 7:00am-7:00pm.
Holiday hours are posted and listed in seasonal brochures. The Administrative
Offices are open 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday (except

9. HOW CAN I REGISTER?
The Morton Grove Park District provides four methods of registration:
on-line, walk-in, mail-in and fax-in. Click on Register Now if you
would like to complete registration on-line. If you prefer to walk-in
registration, visit Prairie View Community Center at 6834 Dempster
Street. Mail-in registration – send registration form to 6834
Dempster Street, Morton Grove, IL 60053. Fax-in registration can
be sent to 847-965-4115. Confirmation Cards will notify participants
when they are registered for a program. The PRESCHOOL and MUSIC
programs require registration IN PERSON. Methods of payment include:

11. RENTALS
The Morton Grove Park District has four field houses, one outdoor
swimming pool, a gymnasium and multi-purpose rooms available to

12. VILLAGE HALL
The Village of Morton Grove is a separate governing body from the
Park District. If you have questions about the Village, call 847-965-4100.

13. PROGRAMS
The Morton Grove Park District offers programs for all ages throughout
the year. The brochure lists classes being offered. Descriptions
of the classes include activities, ages, instructor, location and

14. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Morton Grove Park District does offer financial assistance
to residents who qualify. Applications are available at the Prairie
View Community Center. Complete the application and provide necessary
document and return the information to the Facility & Recreation Manager. If
applicant does not meet the requirements for financial assistance,
there is the option of the Check Free Program. The Check Free Program
is an automatic withdrawal option to make payments for programs.

15. PRESCHOOL
The Morton Grove Park District has a preschool program. The program
runs from September through May. The child must be 2 years old by
September 1st to participate in the Parent Tot 2 year old program,
3 years old by September 1st to participate in the 3-4 year old
program and 4 years old by September 1st to participate in the 4-5
year old program.
16. OPEN GYM
The Morton Grove Park District offers Open Gym times at Prairie
View Community Center. A monthly schedule is available at PVCC or
call 847-965-1200 for times.
17. PICNICS
The Morton Grove Park District parks are maintained for your enjoyment.
Park permits are not issued; areas are on a first come basis. Just
a reminder: the park district prohibits alcohol and open flames
(BBQ) in all parks. If you are interested in the Forest Preserve
areas in Morton Grove, contact the Cook County Forest Preserve at
773-261-8400.
