Adult Softball Leagues

There are summer and fall seasons available for softball teams. Softball leagues include Men's 12", Women's 12", Men's 16" and Co-Rec 14" Softball. The Summer season typically begins in April and runs through the first week in August dependant upon the number of registered teams. The Fall season typically begins the middle of August and runs through the middle of October dependant upon the number of registered teams.

Adult Basketball Leagues

There are multiple seasons available for basketball teams. Length of each season will be dependant on the number of teams registered in each league. Basketball leagues include Men's 6' 5" and Under, Women's, and Men's "B" leagues. The Winter season typically begins in December and runs through the first week in April. The Summer season typically begins in June and runs through the second week in August. The Fall season typically begins at the end of August and runs through the middle of November.

Adult Volleyball

There are Summer Volleyball Leagues available. Sand Volleyball leagues include Co-Rec and Men's 2 on 2 leagues. The Summer season typically begins the last week in May and runs through the middle of August dependant upon number of registered teams. There are also co-rec volleyball classes which occur indoors during the fall and winter.

Adults Playing Table Tennis

Chicago Table Tennis Club

Prairie View Community Center is the newest location for the Chicago Table Tennis Club. Eight tables are available for drop in play. Information about local tournaments is also available. This program occurs year round and is open to participants of all ages (children under 8yrs must be accompanied by an adult).

Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons occur year round! The summer tennis classes are held at the Prairie View Community Center's tennis courts. There are also tournaments that occur during the summer at the Prairie View Community Center's tennis courts. The winter, spring and fall tennis classes are run in conjunction with the Skokie Park District's tennis program. Participants may register at the resident rate for the winter, spring and fall classes through the Skokie Park District.

Karate Lessons

Karate lessons occur year round! All classes are taught by instructors of the Illinois Shotokan Karate Club under the direction of John DiPasquale, four-time National Champion, U.S. Karate National Coach and former National Faculty Member of ASEP (American Sport Education Program).

Adults Running A 5K

Prairie View 5K Run and Fitness Walk

Runners and walkers of all ages can enjoy this USATF Certified Course (IL-01109-JW). Awards will be given to the 3 top in each category and overall top male and female finishers. This race is held in April. The 5K walk is a non-competitive walk and all walk participants will receive a number and participation medal. The 2012 race is scheduled for Sunday, April 22nd. Youth Programs

Summer T-ball:

This program is for children aged 4yrs to 5yrs old instructing them how to learn and play the game of baseball/softball. Each program day will be comprised of time for instruction and for game play. Children are instructed on the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, teamwork and much more. The program typically occurs the middle of June through July.

CSL Youth Basketball League:

The CSL is a league that was created by a merger of the Morton Grove Park District and Skokie Youth Basketball. The CSL is supported very passionately by both Niles North and Niles West High Schools and the Skokie Park District. Those 5 organizations are committed to providing a community based basketball experience designed to serve all levels of ballplayers. League schedules and information are posted on-line at www.quickscores.com/csl. The season begins with basketball bashes in November through December. Games are played January through March. Girls play games on Saturdays and Boys play on Sundays.

Kids Playing Flag Football

CSL Youth Flag Football League:

The CSL Youth Flag Football includes the communities of Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles and Skokie Park Districts. CSL Flag Football is a not-for-profit program affiliated with the above mentioned Park Districts. This is a developmental program, which allows players to play and learn flag football from trained coaches. This league is for players in grades 1 through 5. Teams are divided by grade, school and District they reside in. The season begins Labor Day weekend and runs through the first week of November. Games occur on Saturdays and practices occur once a week. League schedules and information are posted on-line at www.quickscores.com/mortongrove.

Gymnastics Classes:

What a great way to gain coordination, flexibility and determination through year round gymnastics programs! We offer classes for children 2yrs to 14yrs old. Classes are offered at the Prairie View Community Center and at Niles West High School. All co-ed classes are under the direction of Pam Foerch, Head Women's Gymnastics Coach at Niles West High School and staff is trained by Coach Foerch.

Youth Sport Classes:

Contractors such as Hot Shots Sports, 3Point Athletics and Playball USA help instruct fundamentals of sports such as baseball and softball, soccer, football, floor hockey and basketball.

The Morton Grove Baseball and Softball Association is a non-profit organization supported solely by its parent volunteers. The Morton Grove Baseball and Softball Association runs baseball and softball leagues for children aged 7 to 14yrs old. Registration for the leagues begins in January through March. League games typically begin in May and run through June. Morton Grove AYSO comprises of Region 794 of AYSO an all volunteer based national soccer organization which exists solely for the promotion of soccer as a fun sport. MGAYSO diligently follows all of the tenets proscribed in the AYSO charter; which are: Player Development, Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship.
