Piano

Morton Grove Park District offers private piano lessons for ages 4-adult. Two sessions are offered during the calendar year: A 9 month session (September-June) and Summer session (July-August). The teaching staff is comprised of accomplished instructors and musicians with years of teaching and performing experience. Instruction for beginner to advanced students in all genres of music.

Registration

Options for 9 month program. Register for full-term September - June allows you to lock in your class day and time for a full school year OR half-term is September - January and February - June.

NOTE: Class availability will be limited for those registering in January for the second half-term.

MAKE-UP POLICY: Make-ups will be held at the end of term (January, June and August).

A recital is held in June for current students to perform for family and friends.

Piano Make-up Policy Due to limited time and space - make-up classes for the piano program will be restricted. Student absences and cancellations due to conflict in schedule of illness should be handled as follows:

• Give the instructor as much notice as possible, a schedule conflict should be reported at least 24 hours before the lesson.
• In case of illness, please contact the Prairie View Community Center at 847-965-1200 no later than 12:00 Noon the day of the class.
• One make-up lesson per term is allowed for properly reported absences. No credits or refunds are available for additional lessons that are cancelled by students. Make-ups will be held at the conclusion of the session.
• All instructor absences will be made up during the session.

Guitar

Private 30 minute guitar lessons are designed for beginners to advanced students. Styles include rock, alternative, blues, folk, jazz, metal and classical. Guitar rentals are available through Ultimate School of Guitar. Call Hollis at 773-508-9443. Instructors provided through Ultimate School of Guitar. Sessions offered throughout the year.
