Race Course: This 3.1 mile course is USATF Certified (IL-01109-JW). Time splits will be at the 1, 2 and 3 mile markers. A water station at the 1.5 mile mark.
5K Run Age Divisions: Male and Female will compete in the following age cateogories: 8 & under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
5K Fitness Walk: This is a non-competitive walk. Walkers will receive a race t-shirt, race number and participation medal. If you can get 4 participants to sign up together you will receive our team discount rate of $76.
Pre-Registered Packet Pick-Up: April 20 from 2:00pm-7:00pm, April 21 from 9:00am-12:00pm or the morning of the race beginnning at 6:45am at Prairie View Park.
Race Day Registration: April 22 from 6:45am to 7:45am at Prairie View Community Center, 6834 Dempster Street. Registration will close 20 minutes prior to start of 5K Race.
Refreshments: Food tent will be open to all registered participants after the race.
Regulations: Dogs are prohibited from the run and walk. Strollers are prohibited from the run.
Race Directions: Prairie View Park is located at 6834 Dempster Street one block east of Waukegan Road and a quarter of a mile east of Harlem Avenue. It is approximately 2 miles west of the Edens Expressway and approximately 4 miles east of Interstate 294. The start of the race is on Oak Park Ave just 1 block east of the community center. Parking is available in our Community Center parking lot.
